A healthy, green, sharply defined lawn is not a product you buy once — it is the result of a hundred small decisions made correctly, week after week, from April to November.

What a visit actually includes
Every maintenance visit is the same list, in the same order. Nothing is optional and nothing gets skipped because the crew is running late.
- Mowing at the correct height for the season — higher in July heat so the roots stay shaded, lower for the final cut in November.
- String trimming around posts, trees, foundations, fences and anything else the mower cannot reach cleanly.
- Hard edging along driveways, walks and curb lines — the single detail that separates a cut lawn from a finished one.
- Blow-off of every hard surface: drive, walks, patio, steps. We leave no clippings behind.
- Sharp blades. Torn grass browns at the tip and invites disease; cut grass does not.
Most residential properties are on a weekly cycle from spring through early autumn, moving to bi-weekly as growth slows.
Turf programs
Feeding, weeds and the parts you cannot see
Southern Tier soil is heavy, acidic and compacted by winter. A single bag of fertilizer in June does very little. A timed program does almost everything.

Grub and insect control is added when damage or history calls for it, not sold by default.
Aeration & overseeding
For lawns that are thin no matter how often you water
If the turf is patchy, hard underfoot and full of the same weeds every year, the problem is usually compaction, not neglect. Core aeration pulls plugs out of the soil so air, water and seed can get down to the roots.
- Best done in early fall, when seed establishes fastest and weeds compete least
- Paired with overseeding so new grass fills the holes before anything else does
- Ideal for clay-heavy Elmira lots and lawns that see steady foot or pet traffic
- Noticeably thicker turf by the following spring, not the following week
